IF AN AWARD WAS GIVEN FOR AN “IDEA OF THE YEAR” it would go to Manny Ibarra, Locker Room Manager, Skokie Country Club (IL), for his ingenuity in gaining unused space by corner lockers. Manny realized that there was untapped potential to gain additional space when two corner lockers are at a 90 degree angle to each other. More so, he took the initiative to actually make an opening, install and paint a metal surround and give the member their choice of either shelfs or a longer clothes rod. Also, as shown below, an electical outlet was installed in one of the lockers for a personal refrigerator that can keep vital medicine chilled and be used for other purposes, too. I have to say, I am very impressed with Manny and his 36 years of locker room service!
