Bruce’s TIP OF THE WEEK #21 of 156
Amenities: choosing new lockers

A LOT OF detailed thought needs to go into choosing new lockers as they come in a variety of sizes with many options.

LOOKING NICE is not enough.  They need to be functional in that clothes should not touch the bottom and wrinkle.  The doors should open without hitting shoes placed in front of them on the floor. Air flow is very important, too.

A SMALL LOCKER ROOM does not mean that it cannot fit many lockers of different sizes offered at different annual fees. Community closets provide room to hang suits, jackets, topcoats and dresses.

THE CLUB is paying for them so don’t be talked into something you don’t want and need.  If the architect and interior designer have never been an experienced locker room attendant don’t simply accept everything they say. For more ideas and examples, visit:  Lockers
